Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening to classic, old boleros, and the traditional ranchero, romantic, and romance ballads. Ana is passionate about operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of performing in dramatic shows. Ana started learning how to sing as well as play musical instruments from an early age, along alongside her mother. The singer received more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move into America in the year 2000, she joined a chorus of United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist with classic Latin American music at private events. She is involved with many local initiatives, both as performer and teacher, due to her passion for music and arts. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as along with the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to instill a love, in particular among younger people to keep this tradition in the present.
